For Maker Faire 2017, I decided to build a full-size replica of the BB8 robot from Star Wars. There was a ton of 3D-printing and finishing work involved, and then there was all the work on building and programming the robotics and electronics. After this project, I really felt I could make whatever I set my mind to. It really exercised almost all of my skills.
The only bad thing that happened was I got really sick the day of the Faire! It took all my energy to get through the day. But I did manage to meet Thomas DePetrillo, who made this cool Hulkbuster Iron Man suit. He re-inspired me to get going on my Robby the Robot project.
