I backed the original Gigabot on Kickstarter in 2013. The printer has an enormous build volume (600cm^3). I backed it as a kit, and let’s just say it was a lot of fun putting everything together. It did make assembling my Prusa printer several years later a relative snap.
My plans were (and still are) to use it to print the majority of parts for my aspirational Robby the Robot project (that’s part of a foot being printed in the gallery below).
Although the work on Robby is just getting started (after years of planning!), I did print all of my BB8 robot on the Gigabot. I’ve upgraded over time to most of the features on the GB3.
